We are looking for a self-driven Director, passionate about delivering value, forward-thinking, and eager to ensure successful implementation of products, frameworks, and patterns.

As a Director, you will:

  • Lead engineering teams focused on building and supporting Insurance Technology systems
  • Redesign and build client technology systems supporting our Insurance and Affinity business in Canada
  • Assist squads in providing Tier 2 and 3 support under the application criticality framework
  • Utilize reusable frameworks, reference implementations, and patterns to deliver key product objectives
  • Ensure exceptional user experiences through strong architectural design
  • Guide and motivate engineering staff development and overall team engagement
  • Maintain and support services with a focus on production reliability and new functionality delivery

You bring and will continuously build upon the following skills:

  • 3+ years of team leadership or large-scale program experience
  • Preference for Financial or Insurance industry background
  • Deep hands-on experience in modern software development
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort in a rapidly changing startup environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Expertise in agile, DevOps, and test-driven development
  • Passion for developing teams and exploring emerging technologies
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Understanding of capital markets or financial services

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Waterloo, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CAD
