MCRI is seeking AFLA (Alternative Family Living arrangement) caregivers/providers who are passionate about making a positive impact on individuals with intellectual disabilities and who welcome them into their home environment with open arms and hearts to provide support and care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive home environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Foster a safe and caring atmosphere that promotes independence and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to ensure the wellbeing and development of individuals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in your home settings.
  • Clear (SD) and criminal record check.
  • Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive living space.
  • Willingness to attend their medical appointments and recreational activities with them.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Should have Permanent Residency or Canadian citizenship.
