YOUR ROLE

Overview
The finance business partner strategically bridges operations and financial performance. Collaborating with sales and operations teams, they set financial objectives, track performance, and conduct analyses to inform business decisions. With a deep understanding of business drivers and financial systems, they effectively engage with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Operational: 70%_
  • Initiates and conducts monthly Sales business review meetings on yeartodate results and yeartogo projections to enhance team visibility, facilitate financial projections, and deliver valuable financial insights to drive improved business outcomes within the Scope.
  • Coordinates aspect of the Budget, Forecast and Strategic Plan processes for areas in terms of deadlines, reviews, targets, system uploads and variance analysis
  • Work closely with the sales teams, supporting them with analysis and financial information for profitable decisionmaking;
  • Supports business areas during monthend processes to investigate account variances, reconcile accounts with Accounting, and complete necessary Journal Entries to meet closing deadlines.
  • Manages the monthly Royalty process for the respective brands (create monthly reports, place accruals with Accounting and send quarterly royalty statements to licensors);
Strategic: 20%

  • Identifies and monitors key financial indicators to gauge performance, identify trends and perform benchmarking on core activities to provide financial and strategic perspective to the business;
  • Identifies and assesses potential business, financial impacts or risks associated with new ideas or projects;
  • Participate in the development, enhancement and implementation of financial system or processes initiatives by providing value added input with respect to FP&A and ensuring that changes in the system or business processes are integrated into ongoing activities;
  • Leadership: 10%_
  • Responsible for identifying, pursuing and sharing with teammates technical, professional and interpersonal training programs for his/herself;
  • Ensure alignment between the business and the Finance teams through regular and clear communication;
  • Responsible for completing objectives setting and selfassessment;

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

  • 2 to 4 years of Pertinent business experience. Strong business acumen and wellversed in Financial Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • University degree in Finance/Business administration and/or a professional designation (i.e. CPA, CFA, MBA)
  • Understanding of performance variance analysis, accounting principles and financial reporting aspects;
  • Knowledge and skills using SAP BPC, SAP Financials, SAP EPM and AO; comfort and ability to query SAP by transaction code (if required) or obtain multisource BI data for analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills
