Description of position:

The job requires a Audiologist who will assess hearing, select/recommend hearing instruments when appropriate (and/or refer when appropriate). The clinician will also provide dispensing services which includes verifying and validating hearing instrument performance

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including puretone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing
  • Interpret test results and provide appropriate recommendations for hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and other hearing rehabilitation options
  • Fit and dispense hearing aids, ensuring proper programming and customization for each patient
  • Provide ongoing support and counseling to patients regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and device maintenance
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Stay uptodate with advancements in audiology research and technology

Qualifications

  • Education/Training: Masters Degree in Audiology with all qualifications to dispense hearing aids in Ontario.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Registered (or eligible for registration) with CASLPO. Authorized (or eligible) to provided government funded services
  • Experience: Clinical experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Attention to detail and technical aptitude. Strong organizational and time management. Strong communication and counseling member service skills. Strong computer skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Salary:
From $40.54 per hour
