Our small but growing company needs a reliable, organized
Controller to manage the day-to-day financials and accounting duties of running the business.


The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible and possess excellent analytical skills.

If you have worked in a fast-paced office in the past, are accustomed to ever changing circumstances and enjoy establishing your own organizational systems when necessary, we are excited to talk to you.


We are looking for someone who can operate effectively with little to no supervision and who can effectively manage multiple tasks at once.

A team-oriented individual who values working and contributing to a positive working environment and values confidentiality and professionalism. Strong interpersonal communication skills and a pleasant, friendly disposition a must.

_ The Big Task_


While leading our Finance team, you will oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivables, payroll, reports, reconciliations, and daily financial entries.


_ Key Sub Tasks_

  • Ownership of AR/AP, payroll, cash management and all related accounting procedures
  • Regularly create and present company and employee performance reports in an easytounderstand format
  • Coordinate with external agencies for tax planning, preparation, and reporting
  • Ensure Provincial and Federal income tax reporting is accurate and current
  • Calculate project costs and profitability
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, producing a financial infrastructure for sustained growth
  • Work closely with accounting administrators to ensure support and succession planning

  • Thorough understanding of debit and credit accounting processes
  • Possess the ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in our finance team
  • Strong attention to detail with on time delivery
  • Ability to analyze market potential and know the competitive landscape
  • Be detail oriented and a highly organized multitasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fastpaced and goal driven environment
  • Proficiency with technology and software programs such as Microsoft Office Applications and QuickBooks
  • High Aptitude learner who strives to continuously improve
  • Able to maintain confidentiality

_ Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements_

  • Previous Bookkeeping and Accounting Experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
