Job Purpose:


Our Real Estate division manages the province's portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country.

We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way.

Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government's building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.


  • The Business Performance Analyst is responsible for implementing project and performance reporting, data quality initiatives, contract management governance and driving improvements in business processes and use of IO systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure reporting information and performance metrics are meaningful, accurately reported and communicated to the proper stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development, operationalization in Power BI and maintenance of Real Estate Dashboards and Real Estate Executive Management and the IO Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the annual year end reporting process and ensure completion within the timelines issued by Finance.
  • Support the execution of compliance and governance functions, contract performance and quality management initiatives.
  • Develop relationships and work with our service providers to ensure a high level of data accuracy and quality.
  • Identify opportunities and improvements to drive efficiencies in reporting processes, including the automation of existing manual reports.
  • Maintain an audit trail and ensure all documentation is readily available for future audits.
  • Complete timely analysis and resolve data issues, identify root cause of data quality issues, and develop recommendations to address.
  • Monitor performance of service providers to ensure work is delivered in accordance with the master services agreement and the service level agreements.
  • Support Managers and Director in oversight and governance, including supporting development, recommendation, and implementation for Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), annual deliverables, and audit reviews.
  • Support development and implementation of IOs Data Strategy specific to Real Estate Inventory.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Over 5 years' experience in analytical and statistical program reporting.
  • Postsecondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or Project Management.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and identifying potential issues and solutions.
  • Understands and experience in real estate management services and program reporting.
  • Problem solving skills to identify analyze and resolve issues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues, resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions.
  • Advanced data management skills are required, including Power BI, Excel, and VBA.
  • PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma/continuous improvement experience preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $67,100 to $ 100,700 in line with our internal pay bands and compensation philosophy.


Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
