Data Analyst - Energy Market Operations.



Job Information:

Rodan fosters a culture that promotes health and wellness and encourages work-life balance. This is a flexible hybrid role where you are required to work both remotely and in person depending on business needs. You will be required to work at our Corporate HQ in Mississauga a minimum of 2 days per week to attend and participate in workshops, projects, or team meetings.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Collect and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources including Electricity system supply, energy consumption data, production data and financial data
  • Develop and maintain data from SQL
  • Develop data models and algorithms to help identify patterns and trends in the data
  • Create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to business partners and senior management through Power BI
  • Identify areas where data can be used to improve business processes and provide recommendations to management
  • Monitor data quality and identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure that data is integrated and utilized effectively across the organization
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in technology to identify new opportunities for data analysis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • Quick and accurate modelling and analysis of large sets of financial and other customer data
  • Proficient in SQL and MATLAB
  • Proficiency in designing dashboards in Microsoft Power BI is preferred
  • Energy markets experience or an interest in energy management and promoting sustainability in the workplace.

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
