Overview:
The Analyst, Non-Core Lending plays a key role in a team of mortgage professionals responsible for overseeing a growing portfolio of mortgages exceeding $1.0 billion diversified across Canada. This position requires a strong grasp of financial analysis, real estate market trends, and portfolio management to provide valuable insights supporting decision-making processes.
Main Accountabilities:
- Closing of new loans and renewals
- Supporting new business administrative functions
- Managing the portfolio files
- Servicing loans with stakeholders
- Preparing fundings
- Monitoring loan maturities and cashflows
- Providing underwriting support
- Handling special projects
The Analyst collaborates with internal and external parties, including legal departments, mortgage operations, borrowers, brokers, and various consultants to ensure smooth operations.
Job Functions:
- Coordinate loan closings and renewals
- Manage new business reporting and production reports
- Ensure proper file management
- Track loan maturities and communicate with borrowers
- Review funding requests and support decision-making
- Present portfolio reporting
- Assist in underwriting processes
- Conduct property tours and market research
- Prepare legal documentation and correspondence
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in investment analysis
- Analyze construction/development pro-forma
- Contribute to special projects
Skills:
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mortgage systems
- Related post-secondary education or industry courses
- Team player with a results-oriented approach
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
