As Risk Management Coordinator - Alternative Projects and Infrastructure, you oversee the management of risks and opportunities on APEX projects at Pomerleau.

Your role involves the operation of tools and systems to identify, analyze and quantify the risks associated with APEX projects.

You participate in the approval procedures and internal reviews of opportunities in order to help establish the probabilities and impacts of the risks and opportunities raised as well as the choice of mitigations.

You are also responsible for producing reports detailing the department's project risk profile.

SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
***- Perform risk management activities in accordance with best business practices and APEX project risk management corporate procedures across Canada.

  • You will help the proposal managers to build registers of main risks and opportunities that could have negative or positive impacts on the realization of the project at the start of the call for proposals process and will make the appropriate updates thereafter.
  • Use enterprise systems and tools to support processes.
  • Assist and, if necessary, be able to lead risk workshops with project teams to identify, analyze and assess the associated risks
  • You will have to ensure that the information in the risk register is updated and constant by respecting the structure of the various metadata to be filled in
  • You will have to play an important role in managing the lessons learned database on past projects and taking advantage of the lessons learned risk library to initiate preliminary risk identification on new APEX projects
  • You will have the opportunity to participate and contribute to the narrative for the Proposals of the technical deliverables demonstrating the risk management approach for the projects
  • You will support Pomerleau's risk and opportunity management initiatives by assisting in the implementation of appropriate tools, procedures and systems.

Possédez-vous ces qualifications et habiletés?
You have a university education in engineering or another relevant field;
You must have experience of at least 1-3 years in the world of construction, consulting engineering or project management and ideally with projects carried out in alternative modes (design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance );
You have an excellent notion and skill in handling Excel;
You have a good knowledge of software and other tools for monitoring risks and/or quantifying them;
You have an analytical mind and an ability to understand, interpret and popularize data;
You have already had to occupy a similar role in the past where experience in risk management is an asset;
Experience working with construction schedules is an asset;
Experience working in construction estimating is an asset;
Persuasive force with the ability to motivate and lead;
Excellent facilitation skills;
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment;
You have excellent communication and management skills;
Excellent written and oral communication skills. You are bilingual French / English;
