Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Security Advisor on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC). This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.


We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day with an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters.

As one of Canada's largest refineries we employee over 1,000 people.

We are looking for a Security Advisor to join our dynamic team and be a key contributor in driving the safety culture at CRC.


What you'll do:

  • Advise on Security functions and processes to ensure a safe and secure facility by providing guidance and implementing physical security measures to prevent unauthorized breach of CRC operations.
  • Direct employee and contractor site access control, including supervision of Guard Services.
  • Maintain Card Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion and Key Control systems to ensure tools are available to the CRC to deter, protect and investigate any potential risk to personnel, property, or product.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of security systems and processes to mitigate current and future risk to the CRC.
  • Monitor and review Security Incidents to ensure consistent incident classifications.
  • Plan, assist, train and practice Emergency Response protocols specific to Emergency Response Team activations and duties during incidents as assigned per the Incident Command System.

You will work closely with CRC Supervisors and Managers, with six direct reports and fifty indirect reports (guards). This team strives to cultivate a culture of safety, community and support.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) & Sustainability and:

  • Have a Diploma in Security or Criminal Justice.
  • Have 35 years experience in the security field, implementing security protocol and systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are a designated Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or a Physical Security Professional (PSP).
