The Network Services team at Wayfair focuses on providing core transport (wired and wireless) and security services to all customers, internal and external. What You'll Do

  • Engage in design conversations with Technical Leads, Network Security, and Employee Technology (ET) Leadership
  • Contribute to developing the network automation strategy and implement new automation solutions by creating infra-as-code automation using Ansible and Python
  • Implement infrastructure changes to boost reliability, enhance capabilities, and ensure maximum network availability
  • Monitor network stability, adjust network infrastructure based on application updates, and ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Oversee performance and security monitoring of network segments to maintain data integrity
  • Set up, configure, and manage network services, equipment, and devices
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, collaborate with key IT stakeholders, and offer recommendations for implementation strategies
  • Strengthen operational efficiency of network services through capacity planning, resource management, and performance optimization efforts
  • Guide junior and senior associates, share knowledge, and provide guidance to prevent errors
  • Assist in resource management, budget forecasting, and expense tracking to meet fiscal responsibilities
  • Promote a positive work environment by demonstrating organizational values and fostering collaboration, diversity, creativity, and continuous improvement

What You'll Need

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent blend of education and experience
  • Extensive experience in network engineering with progressive responsibilities
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar proven expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-protocol data networks, routing protocols, WAN, LAN, and Wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with MS Azure, Palo Alto, and Automation Languages (Python, Ansible, etc)
