Thriving Kids Care Society is currently looking to fill vacancies on their Clubhouse Kids summer team. Clubhouse Kids is a day camp program for school-age children.

We provide a highly relational program where children can develop their five dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual) while instilling positive Christian values.

We celebrate diversity on our team and hire people of all backgrounds.

Position:
Day Camp Staff

Employment Date:
Late June to Late August

Employment Status:
Summer contract

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team lead in executing the program with their respective age groups
  • Setup and cleanup activities
  • Provide active supervision to ensure all children are accounted for at all times
  • Build positive relationships through oneonone and group interactions
  • Help children navigate conflict within interpersonal relationships
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times
  • Create a fun and safe atmosphere for the children
  • Address concerns or questions from parents
  • We expect all staff to be handson with caring for these children regardless of role
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children is required
  • Prior experience with working in a team environment is an asset
  • Study in a relevant field is an asset
  • Fluent in English. A second language is an asset but not required
  • Firstaid, High-Five, and FoodSafe certifications are considered assets
  • This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs grant and must meet eligibility: (1) between the ages of 1530, (2) be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred, and (3) be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Contract

  • There are multiple positions available with various start dates in June
hours per week for 8 weeks minimum

  • Positions will remain open until filled

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 8-11 weeks

Salary:
$17.00-$20.00 per hour
