Overview

Camp Potlatch is a rustic wilderness site located on acres along the picturesque shores of Howe Sound, offering a unique environment for staff to work, explore, and play.

Job Duties

As a member of our diverse staff team, you will contribute to providing campers (children and youth ages 7-16) with a fun, safe camping experience through various programs, including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, archery, and a 24-hour out-trip.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing programs
  • Provide support to campers and staff
  • Participate in camp maintenance and upkeep

Requirements

  • Standard First Aid with CPR "C"
  • Bronze Cross Swimming Certification – must complete within 2 years (all paid positions)
  • Previous camping experience
  • Previous experience working with children and youth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Wilderness First Aid or Occupational
  • First Aid Level 3
  • National Lifeguard (NL)
  • Provincial Canoeing/Kayaking Certifications
  • Pleasure Craft Operator License
  • Belay Training by an accredited organization
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
  • BC Class 4 Driver's License
  • FOODSAFE Level 1
