The Role


As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design-Build Construction Project Administrator to join our team.


As a Design-Build Construction Project Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of design-build construction projects.

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams, coordinating project activities, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to effective information sharing and communication.

Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders will contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of our project teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, health and safety reports, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and distribute projectrelated communications, meeting agendas, and minutes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the project closeout process, including document archiving, record keeping, and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decisionmaking and problemsolving activities.
  • Contribute to effective communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience (23 years) in a project administration or coordination role within the construction industry, preferably on designbuild projects.
  • Solid understanding of designbuild project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and maintaining project records.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to designbuild construction.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with construction project management software and collaboration platforms (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, CMiC, SiteDocs, etc.).
  • Procore experience a definite asset.
  • Hold or working towards professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
  • Hold or working towards Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) certification
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices.

Note:
This is primarily an office-based role with some site-support work/travel required.
