Your Opportunity:

Healthier Together (HT) is an Alberta-based population health promotion system built with communities, workplaces, schools, and health services including First Nations communities and Métis Settlements.

HT uses a practical 5-step approach to bring people together, understand the local context, prioritize, plan, implement evidence-informed strategies, evaluate, and scale and spread successful initiatives across the province.

The Health Promotion Facilitator (HPF) will play a key role in HT by facilitating planning and community action to create/enhance environments that promote health and prevent disease.

The position provides operational support and coordination in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the AHS HT initiative and works collaboratively with both AHS Zone and Provincial Teams.

This position collaborates with diverse stakeholders, including internal staff and departments, government, community partners, and external agencies to support optimal health and well-being of individuals, groups, communities, and populations.

The HPF is responsible for leading the development and implementation of HT at the local level and requires in-depth knowledge of program planning and stakeholder engagement.

This position is part of the Edmonton Zone and will be based out of Plaza 124.

This position will also work closely with Team Members in Provincial Population and Public Health (PPPH) and in alignment with the HT Governance Structure to ensure consistency of approach across settings, share learnings, and strengthen collective measurement of outcomes.
