Job Description:

The Sales Director is part of the Sales leadership team responsible for customer strategy development and execution to drive profitable and sustainable sales growth within the channel. The Sales Director works with their direct reports and peers to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our customers and plays a critical role in the development of Sales talent for the organization.

What are we looking for?
  • 10+ years of professional experience in retail sales environment with a strong understanding in merchandising and customer relations.
  • 3+ years of prior experience being a people leader with proven track of developing people.
  • CPG experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience pitching and persuading to internal and external senior level management.
  • Ability to lead in complex environment with a strong drive on results.
  • Cross-functional experience is a plus including Sales, Sales strategy, Marketing, Category Management, Retail Sales Management, Supply Chain Management.
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Lead and create a high-performing learning environment with direct reports by encouraging personal development, achieving business growth and building up highly engaged associates through high performance team building and inspiring associates.
  • Deliver healthy and sustainable business results by ensuring that the financial targets and sales budgets associated with assigned areas of responsibility are managed within company targets.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Sales strategy by anticipating future consequences, trends and the competitive landscape. The result of this is sustainable, repeatable category thought leadership for the business.
  • Develop relationships with key customer personnel across all functions and at all levels to develop and execute programs at a strategic and tactical level
  • Ensure delivery of customer insights-based recommendations that drive customer acceptance of recommended category assortment and achievement of volume/profit/share goals.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Leadership team to maximize channel and category performance, deliver efficient trade revenue optimization and develop a robust Sales talent pipeline.
  • Provide input to enhance business segment operating plan objectives through S&OP and Demand Planning processes.
