Job Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Parts and Inventory:

  • Sourcing of parts in a timely manner for customers, inside sales, service department and technicians
  • Ongoing communication and follow up with customers and staff on ETA of parts requests
  • Manage multiple vendors and develop an ongoing understanding of price, quality, delivery time, etc. for all our parts requirements
  • Develop ongoing relationships with our suppliers to ensure quality service and timely supply of our parts when they are most needed
  • Discuss repair recommendations with field technicians to ensure accurate timeline & scheduling to resolve issues
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency in all aspects of the job
  • Ensure inventory system is set up with max(s) & min(s) as well as all seasonal adjustments
  • Create ticket numbers, purchase orders
  • Parts cage is neat, organized, well labelled as per a master inventory plan with all product "faced"
  • Completion of all paperwork required to ensure accurate parts and inventory management
  • Communicate with factory suppliers and followup on part warranty claims
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and the annual inventory count
  • Audit received packing slips for accuracy and enter relevant information into computer based inventory system (Microsoft Business Dynamics 365)
  • Code and audit supplier invoices for accuracy
  • Support field technicians with required tools, consumables and other items needed for their upcoming jobs

Sales:

  • Assist customers with parts requests. Prepare accurate quotations and followup with customers to close sales
  • Grow sales revenue through parts counter sales through proactive communication with new and existing customers
  • Meet and exceed established departmental sales targets. Identify and resolve issues that affect departmental targets
  • Recognize and act on opportunities to promote our products and services to clients over the phone
  • Produce parts and service quotations on client's equipment needs. Follow up and close the sales

Warehouse and Shop:

  • Manage best practices regarding paperwork, cost control, and cross border compliance
  • Operate forklifts and yard cranes as required for shipping and receiving duties
  • Manage and oversee preparation of inbound/outbound staging area for technicians
  • Manage and oversee rental returns and equipment turnover
  • Maintain shop and warehouse organization for professionalism, maximum efficiency, and safety (Incl. Tool crib, welding area, mezzanines, etc.)
  • Conduct shop inspections. Coordinating any required repairs, maintenance, and security updates
  • Active engagement into continuous improvement initiatives in the branch, leading opportunities for improvement in the warehouse and shop

Safety:

  • Retain a level 1 first aid certificate and be the First Aid Attendant for the branch
  • Retain forklift ticket to operate a forklift within the shop and warehouse

Other ad hoc duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid BC Class 5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, good judgement, and the ability to manage a variety of activities.
  • Keen understanding of tools, parts, electrical and mechanical system components including technical drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong relationships with coworkers, clients and suppliers.
  • Independent problem solver capable of making decisions in realtime to maintain efficient flow of work. Identifies problems and provides solutions to remedy them.
  • Experience working with Preventative Maintenance programs.
  • Experience with tagout programs for faulty tools and equipment.
  • Efficient use of computers and programs like MS Office, CRMs, equipment management software.

Pay:
$20.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
