Job Overview

The ECN (Engineering Change Notice) Coordinator will be responsible to work with several functional departments including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, design engineering and manufacturing engineering to help facilitate the communication of engineering change notices through our ERP and other systems.

They will be responsible to ensure all parties have accurate design information at all times available and bring changes to action as required in their functional areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

Confirm ECNs are conforming to documented processes and workflows (part numbering).

Coach and train design engineering team members to best support BOM maintenance & Change Management.

Host weekly multi-site change review board meetings to facilitate the review of all weekly change submissions.


Attend meetings with up to date information on assembly timelines to ensure engineering changes are communicated timely to keep production commitment dates.


Establish ECN effective date (Customer, Safety, Running Change) with input from applicable functional department members based on implementation impacts to production progress while meeting customer demand.

Coordinate and track customer, internal, and supplier released engineering change activities through different departments.

Communicate ECNs with aftermarket department to ensure ECN changes are received and processed for in stock, customer delivered inventory.


For new product development engineering redline drawings, ensure ECNs are processed timely once red line drawings are corrected and actioned by engineering and issued to production planning.

Ensure next production units do not have the same issues raised by previous redline drawings.

Validate SAP BOMs for all engineering changes.

Track requests for change from operations and screen for feasibility requirements before sending to engineering.

Qualifications/Requirements


Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Technical Trades Diploma with two or more years of experience in production workflow roles including planning, supply chain or quality.

Practical understanding of underground hard rock products and technical production requirements.

Experience and familiarity with Engineering Change Orders and Change Controls and ability to read and interpret engineering BOMs.


Experience and familiarity with organizational workflows for executing changes, previous experience using ERP system for processing order fulfillment is required (SAP).

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
