We are looking for a passionate, energetic, hands-on leader to run the day-to-day operation's of Massimo's Italian and collaborate with Massimo Capra to keep our food program evolving and exciting.


We are looking for General Manager with a true passion for food an unrelenting drive to provide an exceptional guest experience.


Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensure courteous and superior quality service is provided to all customers
  • Create and drive a profitable, efficient and safe restaurant environment
  • Motivate knowledgeable, helpful, and cheerful supervisory and nonsupervisory staff
  • Create annual and semiannual restaurant business plans, strategies, and controls, including costbenefit analysis of equipment, products/services, revenue maximization, management and supervisory skill assessment
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, evaluate and counsel management and team members
  • Develop strategies and tactics to ensure improve guest satisfaction
  • Complete inventory checks and departmental reports
  • Be present on the dining room floor and assist room service, as required, to ensure that operations are effectively and efficiently carried out cooperating with other departments
  • Manages in compliance with established company/resort policies and procedures as well as local, provincial and federal laws and regulations
  • Enforce all health and safety/sanitation standards
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need as the Restaurant General Manager

Experience:
4+ Years' experience as General Manager in a high volume restaurant setting

Other Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of restaurant management experience with a full service and structured dining establishment.
  • Must have good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several direct reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of back of the house operations including culinary, bar, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety.
  • Knowledge of appropriate sanitation procedures and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of cost and labour systems that lead to restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during peak business levels
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
