AS A CLAIMS ADVISOR, YOU WILL ADVISE. NEGOTIATE. INVESTIGATE. SETTLE.


As a Claims Advisor, Property and Casualty Insurance, you handle medium-complexity automobile and property insurance claims (damage to home, business or automobile) over the telephone.

You investigate, settle and negotiate with all parties involved (member/clients, contractors, body shops) to ensure smooth claims processing.

You will also guide and serve our members and clients throughout the claims process with empathy and professionalism

General Information on the Position


Main responsibilities- Conduct investigations, estimate costs and market value, produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts- Understanding of how to solve problems using your analytical skills and discipline-specific knowledge- Draw on your sound decision-making to develop solutions, negotiate claims settlements and enter into agreements with members, clients, third parties and others- Analyze automobile and property damage information and can determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria- Understand the importance of settling claims in accordance with the organization's standards, policies and quality commitments as well as the contract terms.

Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties- Exhibit interpersonal savvy and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Other working conditions- Schedule :Work hours: Core shift - Monday to Friday between 7h00. & 5h00 Pm- Evenings, Weekends and

Stat Holidays:
These shifts are scheduled on rotation based on seniority-
Evening Shifts: 12h00 - 8h00pm, 1h00 - 9h00 pm, and 2h00 - 10h00 pm- Weekends and

Statutory Holiday Shifts:
Saturday and Sunday, 8h00 am - 5h00 pm Number of jobs available : 8

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Property and Auto damage claims (will consider other Claims experience) (an asset)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- Hold the CIP Designation or actively pursuing (an asset)- Hold the New Brunswick Claims Advisor License (an asset)
