Temporary position for 12 months
As a claims system software quality specialist, you help ensure the quality of business solutions within a narrowly defined area of focus. You prepare and help carry out planned tests to ensure the quality of the changes made to the INDM systems to reflect updates to software used by claims advisors. You work with your colleagues in testing, analysis and development to ensure appropriate coverage of the product's quality, in line with your quality strategy. You identify positive results or irregularities in the targeted monitoring systems. Knowledge of the home and auto insurance systems is required. Finally, you help resolve any irregularities. More specifically, you will be required to :
Identify the tests required to ensure coverage based on the target test level
Help identify test cases for automation, and enter them in product test records
Design test cases and monitoring for test cases identified by the team, and enter those you're responsible for in the product test records
Prepare the execution context for testing (environments, data), in collaboration with colleagues in other professions
Rigorously carry out the testing (manual and automated) assigned to you
Follow up on test results as specified in the product quality strategy
Help define and populate the testing indicators for the team's development process

What you bring to the table
General College diploma in a related field
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience with the INDM home and auto claims system
Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
Advanced intermediate proficiency of spoken English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Proficiency in distribution operations policies and procedures
Proficiency in the claims system
Knowledge of software quality analysis
Knowledge of testing principles and methods
Knowledge of insurance system (INDM) and JIRA Xray
