Are you ready to take on the role of Internal Accountant at F.H. Black & Company? As an Internal Accountant, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive accounting support to our team. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will tackle various tasks including bookkeeping, payroll, and invoicing with precision and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Financial reporting and analysis on a weekly, monthly, and periodic basis
  • Handling of GST, PST, and Payroll Review and Remittance
  • Accountable for all internal accounting and financial reporting tasks
  • Preparing data files and records for year-end
  • Tracking job costs and ensuring adherence to accounting processes
  • Posting journal entries
  • Compiling trial balance of books
  • Issuing timely invoicing for all departments
  • Conducting data entry tasks
  • Other internal duties as assigned

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Professional Accountant, CPA designation with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and/or Caseware software
  • Action-oriented, results-driven team player
  • Sharp mathematical and financial skills, including Excel proficiency
  • Strong at setting priorities, planning, and problem-solving
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent and reliable worker
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and procedures
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Successful completion of Criminal Record Check
