The Smart Home/Low Voltage/AV Automation space continues to be a trade with amazing growth and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:


Installation and Service Technician Job Duties· Installation of TVs, Projectors, Video Walls· Rough in low voltage wiring of homes and commercial spaces· Termination of Cat5/6, RG6, Speaker Wire, LVT· Installation of architectural speakers, in ceiling, in wall· Installation of touchscreens and keypads· Wiring equipment racks including head-end processors, matrix equipment,network equipment· Installation Automated Power Shades· Client interaction· Programming Automation Systems· Organizing equipment in our shop space- Carry out new installation and service existing customers in domestic dwellings, apartments or commercial building.- Performing best in class installation practices and while demonstrating outstanding customer service - Communicate effectively with customers explaining various products and providing tutorials of how to operate the new equipment.- Work safely at all times without risk to self and others.

  • Professional, trustworthy, positive attitude with excellent work ethics
  • The ability to work from heights and be able to lift 20ft & 28 ft ladder (60 lbs)
  • Customer oriented with excellent customer service skills and fluency in English
  • Advanced computer skills of email, excel
  • Usage of your own personal phone with a data plan
Work long hours: 8-10 hours per day, and rotating weekends under different weather conditions as may be scheduled. (Business operation is 365 days a year, no slow down periods due to multiple lines of work and business)

  • Employee's and Sub-contractor's are required to supply own vehicle, (car or mini- van, preferable in while to perform all lines of work) have the required basic hand tools.
  • Prepared to use your own Tools and PPE equipment (tool purchase program offered through the Installation Group)
  • Perform installation and servicing of telecommunications equipment
  • Responsible for some administrative duties through both manual and automated processing
  • Maintain a safe and professional work site environment
  • Represent The Installation Group and its respective clients in a professional manner
  • Work within the Occupational Health & Safety guidelines
  • Required to meet quality standards for installation and servicing
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Perform a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, manual dexterity, and working in adverse weather conditions
  • Provide superior on-site customer service
  • Work in a variety of outdoor settings as well as within residential and commercial settings
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality
  • Must have access to laptop, internet connection and printer

  • You have high working knowledge of Smart Camera, Smart Doorbells, Smart Door Locks, Smart Thermostats, Smart Speakers and Hubs, Smart Sensors
  • You can plan and execute the installation of Smart Home Systems
  • You can plan and execute the installation of IP Cameras, NVRs and DVRs
  • You can professionally install and service smart home devices including but not limited to, Nest Thermostats, Ring Doorbells, Google Home devices
  • You have Control4 and/or Crestron Certification (preferred)
  • You can carry out new installation and service existing customers in domestic dwellings, apartments or commercial building.
  • You can perform best in class installation practices and while demonstrating outstanding customer service
  • You can communicate effectively with customers explaining various products and providing tutorials of how to operate the new smart device
  • You have great communication skills, attitude and enjoy helping others
  • You are at least 18 years old and excited to join our network as an independent contractor
  • You own a reliable vehicle
  • You are authorized to legally work in CanadaPlease note that a criminal background check will be done before training starts
