Position Type / Hours:
Full-Time Permanent. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 35 hours weekly, plus overtime as required

$67, $84, Psychoeducational Consultant
All Psychological Services staff are responsible for providing consultation and psychological assessment services to school teams, families and other professionals in support of students.
In consultation with other Psychology staff, and under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Psychological Services staff develop recommendations for student support plans and appropriate interventions, in support of the achievement of Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board's vision, mission and strategic plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
❖ Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with declared areas of competency in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology (with children and adolescents) or both.
❖ Previous experience working in an educational environment with children and youth.
❖ Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
❖ Excellent interpersonal, written communication skills including proficiency with technology.
❖ Demonstrated ability to be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
❖ Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessments to children and youth including preparation of psychological assessment reports with diagnostic statements and recommendations, as appropriate.
❖ Demonstrated experience supporting students with a broad range of learning and mental health challenges, preferably including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.
