A division of Harris, School District Systems (SDS) is seeking a Business Analyst to join the SDS team.

The successful candidate will support our customers in evaluating their Enterprise Resource Planning requirements and proposing configurations, processes, and customizations for SDS' Canadian K-12 ERP solution.

The Business Analyst is a key player in understanding existing system features and how our customers are using them.

This position is project driven and will support SDS' customers and developers in determining the requirements of the SDS ERP Web product its configuration to meet the customers' needs, and will document SDS' functionality "fit" against sales prospects' requirements.

The Business Analyst is additionally responsible for testing software changes to ensure they meet the requirements, and training SDS staff on newly developed features.

This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time in the future.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada with the ability to travel up to 25% within Canada and travel to the Burnaby, BC office 1-4 times per year; a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Provide business analysis, through evaluation of the existing application to the requirements.
Describe the user stories and/or use cases as they relate to the various software features.

Be a leader providing subject matter expertise to R&D and other operational groups, by understanding the K-12 customer's business practices and legislative requirements.

Promoting the success of SDS' products by engaging with internal and external stakeholders regarding product features, recommendations for configurations, and awareness of integrations.

Verify the result against the requirement to ensure that both the customers' and business' needs are met.
Post secondary education in Business, Finance, Payroll, Business Technology Management, or Management Information.
Experience with K-12 business administratio n.
Strong knowledge of Ad Hoc reporting practices using Excel and Pivot Tables .
Experience working with both business and IT/software development groups .
Familiarity with SDS Software and database schema is required .
Experience with the use of SDS Software in Ontario K-12 school boards is preferred.
Office - Burnaby BC or Remote
valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
This role operates in a professional office environment or remote home office location.

The successful candidate may encounter Personal Identifiable Information or Privacy Records, and it is essential that all employees adhere to confidentiality requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Harris' Security and Privacy policies, as well as apply the concepts learned in the annual Security Awareness training.

Travel to customer sites or, infrequently SDS' main office, is required - up to 25%.
