Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Teach using a variety of strategies to support studentcentered learning.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication and knowledge of cultural competency in interactions with the public, colleagues, other professionals and students in internal and external educational and practice settings
  • Develop, revise and adapt appropriate learning resources for students
  • Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes using a variety of techniques
  • Engage students to create a positive teaching and learning environment
  • Work in a teambased environment
  • Use academic technology effectively to enhance and support learning
  • Provide and promote a respectful and supportive environment based upon the principles of inclusion, equity and diversity
  • Attend meetings and maintain records of student grades/assessments

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Software / Networking Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of industry work experience in information technology, electronics, software development, or computer networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical curriculum in a remote format
  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Electronic Circuits and Devices, Programming, Computer Networks, Cloud Technologies, Big Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Security, Storage & Virtualization, Mobile Connectivity, System Integration, IoT Project Management/Design/Implementation
  • Experience in teaching and development of course materials at the postsecondary level is an asset.
  • Demonstrated competency in written and oral communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion to meet the needs of our diverse students, staff and college community.
