Edmonton, Alberta, Canada NAIT Full time

The Infrastructure and Automation Technologies Specialist reports to the Infrastructure and Automation Technologies Coordinator in NAIT's IT Department and will work on the ongoing improvement, automation, and integration of various IT Infrastructure Systems and Platforms.

As a member of a new team, you will find solutions to complex problems and help NAIT achieve its objectives.

Many of the solutions you will work on will benefit thousands of NAIT staff and students. Being motivated and inquisitive, you will continuously strive to help us solve business problems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement custom integrations and automations through APIs and higherlevel programming languages.
  • Support existing systems and platforms.
  • Design, develop and implement solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create and update documentation for future reference and support purposes.
  • Work on assigned projects independently or as part of a team.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge in a highlevel programming or scripting language, such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge in accessing and creating APIs.
  • Working knowledge in integrating different IT platforms and systems with each other.
  • Working knowledge of databases and data structures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and integrations, including Power Bi and Power Automate, is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently while still knowing when to ask for assistance.
  • Effective communication with individuals ranging from entrylevel staff to senior management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to find solutions to problems, while adhering to IT best practices and policies.
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends depending on operational and project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in IT.

Remuneration:
$3, $4,005.89 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
