Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for data and analytics? Our client is seeking a Data and Analytics Content Writer to collaborate with Product Owners and Data Engineering Chapter members.

You'll create and update process maps, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation, facilitating and presenting these materials to diverse technical teams.

Your role includes process workflow modeling to identify improvements and automation opportunities. You'll also develop and review change plans, monitor progress, and create content such as emails, presentations, and job aids. Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with process flows, support documentation, Azure Wiki, and Visio are essential. Bilingualism in English and French is a plus.

A background in technical writing, journalism, communications, or a related field, along with five years of experience in a data and analytics or IT environment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the PO's and Data Engineering Chapter members to Create and Update Data engineering development and support Process Maps/workflows.
  • Standard Operating Procedures for Data Platform Support including the Runbook, Backup and Recovery Procedures, Disaster Recovery.
  • Process/technical documentation like wiki pages, knowledge articles and self-service guides for the Data Engineering practice.
  • Facilitate, Present and Review
  • Any of the above mentioned artifacts.
  • Process workflow modeling in order to make process improvements, automation opportunities, accountability changes in the organization.
  • Work with the EDOT Chapter Leads, COE Leads and Product Owners to review change plans and their required content and support requirements
  • Monitor, support and report on progress of change plan activities
  • As part of the change plan execution activities, work with EDOT stakeholders at all levels to create communications content and participate in reviews of the content.
  • Create various types of content such as: email, presentation materials, articles, job aids.
Qualifications

Top Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, Presentation and facilitation experience with diverse group of technical Engineers.
  • Experience with developing Process flows/ Support Documentation in Software/Data engineering domain
  • Expertise in using Azure Wiki pages, Tools like Visio to document Process Diagrams.

Other Skills Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS suite of products, including creating and organizing MS Teams Channels
  • Bilingualism (English/French, spoken and written) is a strong asset.

Assets:

  • Technical Writing certification/diploma and/or university degree in a related field, such as Journalism, Communications or English
  • Minimum 5 years' experience writing communications content in a data & analytics or IT environment
  • Experience in Process redesign in a technical development/support team.
  • Experience in implementing available change management plans, tactics supporting delivery teams in their daily comms requirements to stakeholders.
