Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain grinding machines to grind metal workpieces according to specifications
  • Accurately use micrometers and verniers to measure precise dimensions to within.001"
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine grinding requirements
  • Set up and adjust grinding machines to achieve desired results
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

  • Previous experience operating grinding machines or similar equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with lathe, plasma cutting, laser cutting, milling machine, and other machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of welding, fabricating, and assembly techniques is a plus
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus
