Résumé du poste

Le titulaire de ce poste est principalement responsable de la création et de la conclusion d'occasions d'affaires avec les ministères et les organismes gouvernementaux qui ont été identifiés dans le plan stratégique des relations gouvernementales pour le Canada, à l'appui de Normes CSA. Le titulaire du poste contribue à assurer la visibilité et la compréhension des activités commerciales et des capacités de Normes CSA auprès des ministères et des organismes gouvernementaux, à défendre ses positions pertinentes en matière de politiques publiques et à développer de nouveaux secteurs d'occasions d'affaires. Le titulaire du poste apportera également des connaissances, des idées et des renseignements de première main au processus de planification stratégique du groupe des relations gouvernementales.

Dimensions- Le titulaire de ce poste est chargé d'exploiter et d'aider à concrétiser les possibilités de financement et de recettes spécifiques identifiées dans le plan stratégique des relations avec les pouvoirs publics pour les ministères et les agences gouvernementales.- Le titulaire du poste doit collaborer étroitement avec d'autres groupes de Normes CSA, notamment les directeurs des normes et leur personnel, la recherche, l'éducation et les services, le marketing d'entreprise et les communications.

Principales fonctions et responsabilités- Démontre une vaste connaissance des normes CSA et, au besoin, du secteur des essais, de l'inspection et de la certification (TIC).- Comprend la proposition de valeur du Groupe CSA en ce qui concerne les occasions d'affaires définies dans le plan stratégique des relations gouvernementales pour le Canada, et dirige et conclut ces occasions à l'appui de Normes CSA.- Diriger l'établissement de relations et agir à titre de principale personne-ressource du Groupe CSA auprès des principaux fonctionnaires et représentants élus des ministères et organismes gouvernementaux, ainsi qu'auprès de leur personnel, afin de positionner efficacement les objectifs commerciaux de l'organisation.- Promouvoir le Groupe CSA auprès des ministères et des organismes gouvernementaux et découvrir de nouvelles occasions d'affaires pour Normes CSA.- Surveiller et défendre les lois et les règlements susceptibles d'avoir une incidence sur les occasions d'affaires du Groupe CSA et faire du lobbying à cet égard.- Suivre les développements internationaux susceptibles d'avoir une incidence sur le Groupe CSA, tels que les accords de libre-échange.- S'il y a lieu, agir à titre de porte-parole du Groupe CSA lors d'audiences gouvernementales (p. ex. comités de la Chambre des communes et du Sénat).- En collaboration avec les directeurs et le vice-président des relations gouvernementales, ainsi qu'avec les membres de Normes CSA, appuyer l'élaboration de la stratégie de relations gouvernementales.- Se tenir au courant des initiatives et des programmes gouvernementaux pertinents qui pourraient avoir une incidence sur le
