RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain vision for department resources and structure
  • Ensure all daytoday tasks are maintained and regularly working with a high level of uptime and success
  • Coordination, monitoring and follow up, including providing regular project status updates
  • Business analysis and Strategic initiatives
  • Maintenance and Support
  • Supervise the IT department and is responsible for the following:
  • Day-to-day IT support
  • Monitor, track and provide feedback on team performance to the department head
  • Maintaining inventory of all hardware, software and licences
  • Ensuring service levels are set to support business requirements
  • Managing security of data and regular backups, suggesting improvements and making sure that data is secure and restoration is available
  • Manage and improve databases and reporting tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 23 years of experience in information technology management (networking, hardware, helpdesk)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network architecture and information systems in a cloud based environment
  • Advanced knowledge in Windows and Linux based hardware/software with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems
  • Experience in a related role requiring, timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization, troubleshooting, and working independently to successfully install, configure, maintain, and support Windows and/or Mac desktop operating systems and software
  • Development experience in Python, API Integrations and HTML/HTML
  • Experience in system management
  • ERP, POS, CRM and intranets
  • Professional presence with excellent verbal and oral communication skills across all levels in the organization

Skills and Qualifications

  • Supervisory or managing a team is an asset
  • Able to work independently in an unstructured, fastpaced entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all internal and external contacts
  • Ability to use tact and discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Positive interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to develop teams and foster an environment which promotes teamwork
  • Ability to explain complex or simple instructions or information clearly to others
