We are looking for a Project Manager for a 1-year contract position ,with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role. Role Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating a diverse team of business, functional and/or IT staff, contractors, and/or system integrators through the project delivery lifecycle.

Key activities will include effective validation and management of scope, estimating, resource planning, management of change management, stakeholder engagement & management, risk management, quality planning, and execution.

It is also important for the candidate to have experience and strength in managing complex business scenarios and dynamic stakeholder groups and ensuring effective synchronizations between competing corporate initiatives.

This role will require strong technical skills as it will focus on the integration of Connected Applications into the new Sap S4/Hana platform.

Experience with Open Invoice and Trax will be an asset. Responsibilties

  • Lead complex transformation projects and/or business process/continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate and influence large stakeholder groups from various functions and business
  • Carry out effective communication with business leadership team
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team composition
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with clients, teams and stakeholders
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring corrective action is taken when necessary, to improve project performance
  • Effective risk management to resolve issues/conflicts that may arise within the project
  • Track project achievements and results, ensuring corrective action is taken, when vital, to improve project performance
  • Lead all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the project/program team direct and indirect reports to ensure project/program results are completed accurately, on time and to the required quality assurance standards
  • Identify, document, track and communicate project/program risks/issues, and assist in resolution or mitigation
  • Identify possible skill gaps within the team and implement ways for performance improvements
  • Partner with Corporate Change Management to design and implement the appropriate OCM/Business Readiness strategy/plan for the project
  • Ensure projects are being delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Required Skills & Experience


At least 10 years of progressive professional experience as a Project Manager or in a similar capacity Experience in business transformation projects and/or business process/continuous improvement projects Strong technical skills including experience with systems integration Experience with SAP S4/Hana is a strong asset Organization and relationship building skills

Oil &Gas/Energy industry experience would be considered an asset Experience with Open Invoice and Trax considered an asset Highly effective communicator, confident, passionate, clear, respectfully assertive and inspiring Displays emotional intelligence; demonstrates self-awareness and remains calm under pressure; expresses confidences in ability to succeed; keeps an optimistic attitude even when things are not going well Organizational Change Management experience Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills Active listening skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills Empathy and relationship building ability Individual and team leadership ability (transactional and transformational leader) Please note that while all applications are appreciated, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
