Technology advances over the last decade open up new uses for information not only to access health information for care, but also big data and artificial intelligence, genomics, population health, precision medicine, and more.


The ministry's Information Management Strategy and Policy Branch leads the development and implementation of data strategy and policy across all sectors of healthcare and plays a key role in designing new health system approaches to data to transform our citizens' experience of healthcare and push the boundaries of health innovation.

The Branch is seeking a Project and Reporting Coordinator.

We are looking for a mission-driven self-starter with multidisciplinary abilities and creative thinking skills; an excellent collaborator with an ability to adapt, learn quickly and take charge in a dynamic and fluid start-up type environment.

What can I expect to do in this role?: You will provide a broad range of project planning, coordination, reporting and research services to support the development and implementation of organizational strategy and policy projects.

In this role you will:

  • Provide project support and coordination and undertake project issues analysis and research.
  • Administer project tracking, planning and decisionmaking processes and provide project/financial status and issues updates to senior management.
  • Use active prioritization to manage diverse and sometimes complex tasks and project processes with conflicting deadlines.
  • Develop work relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support projects.
  • Make recommendations on how to improve branch and project operations, including training requirements, and establish processes to streamline and make things more effective.

You can proactively define what needs to be achieved and how to get there.

This includes establishing priorities and allocating resources and monitoring and adjusting work to accomplish goals and deliver to the organization's priorities.


Problem Solving, Situational Judgement and Decision-Making Skills: You can recognize, understand, anticipate and resolve problems based on your knowledge and experience and devise and implement workable and alternative solutions and strategies.

Project Management Skills:

You can track project activities and budgets and support the preparation of regular, quarterly, and year-end project forecasts and reports.
