GreenShield is looking for a Technical Writer and Localization Project Manager (Hybrid) to join our Product team. You will be developing technical content for our Help Centres, UX copy, video tutorials, release notes, and other content that assembles technical and business information clearly. In addition to writing, this role will be a translation resource for the Technical Writing and Engineering teams. This role will be split 50% to Translation/Localization Project Management and 50% to Technical Writing.

The ideal candidate is someone with strong writing skills in English and French, project management skills, attention to detail, knowledge of localization best practices, and has a knack for making complex information easily and clearly understood by a non-technical audience.

This position will report to the Technical Writing Team Lead and work closely with them and the Technical Writing team to complete technical writing and translation tasks.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
  • Develop clear and concise end-user facing content for Inkblot software products.
  • Work closely with the Technical Writers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA specialists to understand feature specifications and use cases.
  • Help operationalize releases and features by producing help content and tutorials for a non-technical audience, to help drive the use of our products.
  • Review and copy edit writing by other writers or colleagues.
  • Create visual content for help content, such as diagrams, screenshots, or short videos.
  • Write release notes descriptions and assemble release notes documents.
  • Write UX copy and microcopy in collaboration with our Design team.
  • Translate help centre, release notes, and UX copy.
  • Manage translation processes.
  • Ensure consistency and quality control of all translation in terms of grammar, punctuation, and spelling in both English and French.
  • Maintain internal language glossary and research terminology as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 2-5 years of technical writing and localization project management experience.
  • Excellent written skills in English and French.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of content authoring/management and localization tools.
  • Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for end users.
  • Creative skills and the ability to incorporate videos or images to increase user understanding of the material.
  • Experience using a corporate style guide, and following documentation processes and best practices.
