Title: Senior Engineer (Work Methods)

Length: 12 month contract

Location: Burnaby, BC

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 37.5 hour work week

Must Haves:

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Engineering Degree (preferably electrical, integrated, electro-mechanical engineering then following mechnical, civil, onward).
  • Has P.Eng Certification or P. Geo Certification
  • Has 1+ years experience working with 3DInternet technology or related 3D modelling technology experience
  • Previous experience working with electrical design for overhead lines and undergound cables
  • Able to understand and translate engineering and construction drawings to make safety design recommendations

Plusses:

  • Previous experience working in a utility company in an engineering capacity (such as HydroOne, Soft Power, Hydro Quebec, etc)

Day-to-day:

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Engineer Work Methods to join a large utilities firm based out of BC. This person will be dedicated to the supporting capital projects specifically electrical design projects to develop safe engineering solutions through designs, analyzing & resolving problems, developing 3D models, interpreting engineering specifications on various projects. This individual will be communicating cross-functionally among various team members to present prepared designs, specificaltions, engineering deliverables, project documentation and more. The successful candidate needs to have strong interpersonal and communication skills in this role.
