Compensation

Marker-Grader positions are paid based on the qualifications of the employee:

  • Master's Degree Complete - Paid to employees who have finished a master's degree.
  • Undergraduate Degree Complete - Paid to employees who have completed a four-year honours degree or a three-year pass degree.
  • Third Year Complete - Paid to employees who have completed the third year of an undergraduate honours degree.
  • Second Year Complete - Paid to employees who have finished the second year of an undergraduate degree.
  • First Year Complete - Paid to employees who have completed the first year of an undergraduate honours degree.

Duties

The number of hours assigned to a Marker-Grader may vary. Responsibilities include marking essays and assignments, maintaining accurate records, assisting students with course material, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed or be enrolled in specific courses within the previous five years or have a minimum 3rd Year complete in a PSYC program with specified grades.
  • Previous TA experience in the course is beneficial.
  • Must have strong writing and editing skills, knowledge of APA style, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, time management skills, ability to provide constructive feedback, understanding of statistics, Excel and SPSS software, willingness to grade material remotely, and maintain communication with instructors and students.
