Hours of work: Canada Basketball's regular hours of work are 40 hours per week, namely Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day and 5 days a week. However, the demands of your position may require your hours of work to vary to meet the objectives of your employment.

· OVERVIEW

Canada Basketball is the national governing body for amateur basketball in Canada. Located in Toronto, Canada Basketball is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is "We aspire to excellence in leading the growth and development of the game at home, and in pursuing medal performances on the international stage".

Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships & Community Impact, the Coordinator, will assist, with the implementation and execution of all Partner agreements with the goal of achieving partner and
organizational objectives. Working collaboratively with members of all Canada Basketball's departments to ensure all partner deliverables are met.

In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating Canada Basketball's retail operations and event retail strategy including but not limited to inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse oversight.

As a valued member of the Business Operations team, this role will also support event operations, marketing initiatives, and Community partnerships as needs arise and workloads permit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· – Develop a deep understanding of partner's business objectives and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on those objectives

· – Be an active member of the account management team providing support on all partner day-to-day deliverables

· – Proactively track, manage, and ensure all of CB partner contractual obligations are satisfied

· – Develop and present detailed post-mortems on all partner programs throughout the year culminating in a year-end report that includes comprehensive business intelligence results

· – Work cross functionally throughout all stages of partnership development – planning, ideation, and production

· – Liaise with key stakeholders and build strong working relationships within and outside the organization

· – Streamline Canada Basketball partnership presentation decks for prospecting, upselling and creating new sellable assets

· – Manage retail, partner VIK, and gifting inventory as the CB main point of contact in both streams

· – Conduct regular inventory counts in cooperation with the finance team to ensure accuracy

· – Lead event retail operations including setup, teardown, post-event inventory, Shopify sales, and reporting

· – Manage all day-to-day retail needs including shipping, receiving, retail warehouse operations and assist with invoicing as needed

· – Work closely with the Sr. Manager Events to establish retail and gifting inventory processes to improve efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

– Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; preferably in a sport and/or marketing-related discipline

– Minimum of 1-2 years experience in marketing, partnerships/sponsorships and or retail (agency, property or brand)

– Experience with a sports or entertainment property, promotional, advertising or sponsorship sales agency is an asset

– Bilingualism considered an asset

– Working knowledge and advanced understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

– Basic or working knowledge of KeyNote is considered an asset

– Results oriented with an ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, remain detail oriented, and multi-task effectively in a dynamic and service-oriented team environment

– Energetic, self-motivated, ambitious, and possessing a growth mindset and a winning attitude with the ability to inspire others to support and advocate for positive change

– Knowledge of Canada Basketball organization and the game of basketball

– Knowledge of general marketing and partnerships principles, vocabulary and strategies

– Ability to multi-task and handle evolving priorities

· – Available to work evenings and weekends as required / when applicable

– Outgoing, personable nature who is comfortable with client hosting situations and has a proven ability to build and develop professional relationships

– Demonstrate resilience and adapt to evolving plans and strategies; you have the ability to find solutions along with the internal team and know when to escalate for resolution
