BDPrint is looking for a Production Scheduler to join its growing family.
As a
Print Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing assigned projects.

Essentially, you will define the project objectives, and oversee the production and quality control throughout the cycle of each of your assigned jobs including final compilation.

You will monitor status on all dockets to ensure they are manufactured within estimate requirements, are on track with operational work flows and that jobs are on target to meet deadlines

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining schedules for the production.
  • Using workers and resources in the most effective manner.
  • Providing quick responses to production issues.
  • Identifying problems and helping improve processes.
  • Using excel to generate reports and schedules.
  • Ensuring that company deadlines are met.
  • Ensure production meets customer and quality specifications.
  • Following a changing daily production schedule, you will locate where a job is in the production cycle, ensure its completion through the finishing department and pack the job according to job and customer requirements.
  • Supervise, train and support new staff members by providing detailed instructions and guidance to their roles and daily activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must understand the printing process.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
  • Must be a team player who is curious and eager to grow.
  • Experience in the print industry is an asset but not required.
  • Able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Strong communication skills.
