Position Summary:
Job duties are to:
- Develop independently interdisciplinary research on ongoing projects, in full collaboration with team members and international collaborative Labs.
- Develop novel ideas and/or open up new lines of relevant research and collaborate with Lab members in activities related to secure institutional funding.
- Optimize, finetune, and perform/supervise experimental manipulations using cuttingedge technologies.
- Collect, critically analyze, and interpret data derived from experiments.
- Make regular Progress Reports and participate in the Lab Journal Club (internal Lab presentations), like all Lab Members.
- Generate publications apt to be submitted to Journals of high Impact Factor.
- Write/review reports, participate in grant proposals and whenever appropriate, be a cosigner of University Report of Inventions.
- Participate in the Supervision of Undergraduate and Graduate Students.
- Present findings at scientific meetings.
- Proficiency in techniques such as biochemical assays, immunochemistry, confocal microscopy, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), ELISA, stereotaxic procedures, animal behavior, and cell culture.
- Show creativity, selfmotivation, and attention to detail.
- Strong communicational and organizational skills.
