  • Your role as a fulltime instructor at Saskatchewan Polytechnic will be supported through instructional materials, ongoing employer provided training, and our requisite Adult Teaching and Learning Program. This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high quality learning experience for all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students.

Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):

    Job Duties
  • To instruct courses in the Project Management postgraduate certificate and business courses in related programs as required. The courses may include other business courses as required.
  • Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Business and/or related programs.
  • Design and Implement a student-centered classroom using an outcome-based approach.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
  • Respond to curriculum/course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs such as adult learning principles.
  • Develop new curriculum as needed.
  • Be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of special learning needs including equity groups and diverse learners.
  • Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
  • Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment.
  • Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
  • Attend program and school meetings.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • 1. Fouryear Bachelor degree in Commerce or Administration; OR equivalent 4 year Business degree; OR related 4 year degree with major or related experience in specialty area to be taught; OR Business diploma with Education degree with related experience in specialty area to be taught. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Recent/relevant work experience (2 years in the last 5) in Project Management.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
