Robot Technician

Task Description:

  • Travel throughout North America and Mexico.
  • PLC/HMI Programming, including onsite support.
  • Mig weld, Spot weld, Material Handling
  • Provide remote/telephone support for customers out of town.
  • Replace with
  • Design and develop new programs for Robotic automation cells on Allen Bradley PLCs using Rslogix 5000, Studio logix etc.
  • Design and develop HMI programs for the Automation cells using Allen Bradley's Factory talk Studio.
  • Setting up industrial communication such as Devicenet, Ethernet.
  • Design and develop electrical prints using solidworks electrical software.
  • Maintaining and modifying existing systems
  • Work collaboratively with design engineers, operations engineers, and other internal staff.
  • Troubleshooting and problemsolving machines and equipment
  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with the health and safety regulations
  • Participate in machinery installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Support other departments in the resolution of quality and productivity issues.

Technical Competencies:

  • Capable to read and write electrical diagrams, schematics.
  • Must have proven experience in PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Omron, etc.) and robotics.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Work well in a group and independently.
  • Knowledge of communication networks like Ethernet IP, Devicenet, IO Link.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical/Controls engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Effective communication skills and strong problemsolving skills.
  • Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Able and willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Able and willing to travel out of country.
  • Valid Driver's license and car.
  • Valid passport
