The Transportation Specialist (TS) serves as a liaison and provides safe and compassionate care for unaccompanied children (UC) and/or family units (FAMU), while accompanying them during travel.

Travel may include domestic or international flights, and/or ground transportation to facilities throughout the B.For effective and culturally sensitive communication, the Transportation Specialist is required to be bilingual in Spanish.

The Transportation Specialist must adhere to process and procedures as directed under the contract.

Responsible for the safety and security of the unaccompanied children (UC) and family units (FAMU) that they are assigned while in transit from the departure and arrival locations.

Responsible for maintaining and updating documentation to facilitate the transportation process in an effective, and safe manner.

laws and regulations regarding the safety and security of passengers during transport to include ensuring children are appropriately secured, using car seats and booster seats as indicated.

All passengers must be properly secured with a seatbelt prior to vehicle and/or aircraft movement.
The TS must immediately escalate emergent situations appropriately and thoroughly document all incidents / occurrences.
Maintain current training and certification requirements in accordance with state and

Must be up to date on Vaccinations and Immunizations, including but not limited to the recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Must have basic skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.

May require Domestic and International Travel.
Conditions may vary depending on Location and mode of Transportation.
Able to communicate verbally and listen for constant surveillance of children and staff activities.

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
