Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team. for helping in developing the next generation of cell and gene therapy manufacturing technologies and processes.

You will gain first-hand experience with industrial cell culture technologies and a strong appreciation of the GMP manufacturing from tech transfer challenges for cell and gene therapies from academic and clinical research to a commercial setting.

You will develop the capability to independently develop and execute R&D projects, with the experience and know-how to adapt as necessary and deliver world-class solutions in cell manufacturing.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of process validation studies for new products and process improvements, including protocol generation, data analysis, and report writing. Working effectively with other team members in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Supporting inwriting technical documents including SOPs, project plans, and reports.
  • Developing and improving the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully support assigned projects.
  • Assisting and training others as necessary.
  • Documenting and preparing written and oral reports with accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate in crossfunctional project teams to provide MSAT input and support.
  • Your responsibilities and role may change with the evolving needs of the organization, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate education in industrial engineering, bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Practical experience with computer programming, process modelling, databases, and statistics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and process development skills.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be a detail oriented team player.
  • Strong English written and verbal communications skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory safety plans and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
