Position Summary
:
The Promotional Planner is accountable for the management, execution, compliance, and reporting of the promo planning process in its entirety.
This role trains/advises Category Managers, CTAs, Directors, Category Assistants, Replenishment, Marketing, Operations, on the Promo Planning Processes, its reporting, maintaining its quality control measures and ensuring its accuracy.
This position maximizes promotional ROI through analysis, planning, communication/influencing and executionWhat you'll do
:
Strategize, design, develop and implement feature space strategies within their SBU that aligns to the Commercial Plan and Feature/Promo Space Allocation Plan; influencing Merchandise Sr.
Building effective relationships with cross functional partners (CTA to SVP level) to discuss and gain alignment to Corporate Feature/Promo Space Allocation Plan and Space Allocation strategies.
Communication of Commercial Plan and Feature/Promo Space Allocation Plan to Merchant team; building detailed quarterly allocation plans and templates that are aligned and updating all changes requested in the promotional templates on an ongoing basis.
The process includes but is not limited to the following; item alignment with category plans, item compliance to the corporate Rules, historical performance analysis, fill rate analysis, follow up on misaligned items to ensure accurate communication and execution of a new strategy.
Ensuring accuracy and timely completion of information in the Promotional Templates on a weekly basis. Ensure there is alignment with the Category Manager and Sr. Director of Merchandising to ensure changes are discussed as necessary and receive approval on new item plan.Ensuring SBU team are properly training on promotional planning process, are updating the tools and understand changes to marketing strategy.
Train and advise cross functional team members on the Feature/Promo Planning process to maintain compliance and accuracy of process. Ensure there is accurate maintenance of store counts within.Manages and executes the Request for Changes process to ensure accurate and timely implementation of all changes requests. Ensures that all of the Promotional Planning tools are updated for all changes within the SBU.
Ensures that all changes are communicated to the senior merchant team, replenishment team and Marketing team members involved in the change process.
Measurement and Reporting - utilizing Feature Planning Analytics to provide recommendations to improve feature productivity, lift and forecast accuracy.Qualifications

- Individual must have strong interpersonal skills and good at building trustworthy and wellgrounded relationships

- Cross Functional knowledge; a foundation of how the other areas in the business operate.
- Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience Required 2 years
