SUMMARY:


Reporting to the Controller, working alongside the Controller to ensure all accounting processes are completed accurately and according to both Marriott and Atlific Hotel standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare daily bank deposits and reconciliation
  • Audit daily transactions and prepare Daily Revenue Report
  • Reconcile credit card, guest ledger and AR ledger
  • Reconcile Marriott Gift Card sales and redemption
  • Reconcile Marriott Bonvoy redemptions and collect any outstanding rewards on the monthly basis.
  • AR invoices and collections and AP payables
  • Assist for Month End inventory and cash count.
  • Maintain prepaid schedule, capital expenditure, LTD, etc
  • Respond to government queries and external agencies such as WCB, Services Canada etc.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a Hotel Accounting position preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to working through problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to PMS and Accounting software
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with a growing and changing environment.
  • Very good working knowledge of Excel
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
