Overview:

Adastra corporation is hiring As Canada's leading Data and AI company, we are looking for a skilled Data Modeler with in-depth expertise with dimensional modeling and demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze and translate business needs
  • Work with team to implement data strategies, create conceptual data models, data flows and support in the data movement and transformation requirements
  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
  • Optimize and update logical and physical data models
  • Develop enterprise data models according to company standards
  • Develop dimensional model and data marts according to business requirements
  • Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
  • Create data dictionary and catalogue
  • Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
  • Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of data modelling experience
  • P&C insurance experience is mandatory
  • In depth expertise with dimensional modeling; demonstrated experience with conceptual, logical and physical modeling
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
  • Understands and maintains lineage mapping
  • Experience with source to target mapping and using logic
  • Must have experience with logical and physical data modeling
  • Must have experience with enterprise data models and data warehouse models

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Cloud environments an asset (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Guidewire data model experience
