to work on a project near Grande Prairie, Alberta_.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive water truck to transport water for HDD drilling activities
  • Drive a truck equipped with a trailer, as needed
  • Perform roughneck labourer duties around rig site
  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Communicate equipment and material issues between the office/shop/jobsite
  • Conduct daily truck inspection
  • Maintain a safe driving record
  • Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Previous experience with transporting construction equipment and materials is an asset
  • Construction Safety Certifications including: H2S Alive, WHIMIS and First Aid are an asset
  • Previous pipeline experience hauling pipe and heavy equipment is an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the daytoday delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada's 6 Core Values
  • Minimum Class 3 license with Air Brake Endorsement. Valid Class 1 driver's license is preferred
  • Current clean drivers abstract is required
  • Selfstarter with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic, with ability to work safely in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Respectful, team player with positive attitude
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules
  • Ability to identify and report hazards
