Human Resources Assistant
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage fullcycle recruiting including: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions
- Coordinate employee performance evaluations and assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HRrelated matters, including employee relations, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits records and HR databases
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and programs aligned with Norgen Biotek's goals and values
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. HR certification would be an asset.
- HR experience in a professional office environment is preferred
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices is an asset.
- Proficient word processing, writing, and communication skills
- Dynamic, positive personality with a willingness to assist where needed
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Discretion, good judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Adaptable and versatile
- Strong organizational, quantitative and problem solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Able to approach problems both logically and creatively
- Able to meet deadlines
- Able to perform multiple assignments without immediate supervision
Salary:
$17.00-$25.56 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
