Summer Experience Program Assistant

Continuing & Community Education

Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator of the Continuing Education Department, the Assistant will:

  • Perform general administrative duties for the Admissions and the Family Welcome Centre
  • Be responsible for answering incoming phone calls, addressing general inquiries, along with greeting parents and students
  • Manage appointment calendars and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Skills to be developed include:

  • Experience with software packages (Google Suite, Microsoft Applications)
  • Time management
  • Customer service skills
  • Organizational and oral communication skills
  • Prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced client service environment

This position, offered under the Summer Experience Program with funding provided by the Ontario Public Service, is for a youth aged 15-24 years (up to 29 years of age for a person with disabilities), and has an hourly rate of $18.00 plus 4% vacation pay.

Location: Catholic Education Centre (CEC), 570 West Hunt Club Road, Nepean.

Status and Dates: Full time (7 hours/day, 5 days/week) from July 2 - August 30,
