Job Summary:

CSA Group is seeking a Project Manager, Energy Efficiency Standards, as part of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy team. In this dynamic role, you will facilitate the development of innovative standards, through technical discussions and promote consensus among key stakeholders. You will collaborate with industry experts, manufacturers, academia, researchers, scientists, and government officials to drive forward our mission.

CSA Group standards are developed by volunteer members through an accredited process. The standards are used by a broad base of stakeholders to help enhance safety, security and sustainability for people and business.

CSA's Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy standards team manages a diverse portfolio of standards and guidelines that support the reduction of Greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to a sustainable, reliable and resilient energy system.

Responsibilities:

Standards Development: Facilitate the development of standards based solutions within the Energy Efficiency Program, including HVAC&R, industrial and residential equipment, lighting products, and building energy system performance.

Innovate: Identify, pursue and manage new business development initiatives to expand the portfolio into new areas supporting clean technologies.

Project Management: Oversee project processes, schedules, resources, costs, quality, and risk. Manage day-to-day committee activities, meeting project milestones and revenue targets.

Engagement: Develop key relationships with academia, regulators, industry, and other stakeholders. Convene in-person and virtual committee meetings.

Collaboration: Liaise with clients, management, Legal, and Finance teams to develop proposals, contracts, and financial analyses for new projects.

Process: Ensure adherence to CSA Group processes and procedures mandated by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Qualifications:

Education: Relevant university degree or technologist certification (BSc, B.Eng, or CET) in an engineering discipline or related area of study. Electrical or mechanical discipline preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Experience in industry, manufacturing, utility sectors, or policy/regulatory environments is beneficial.

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and technical document writing.

Leadership: Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Project Management: Exceptional organizational and planning skills with a detail-oriented approach.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in word processing, presentation software, project planning tools, and spreadsheets.

Travel: Some travel required.

Résumé du poste :

Le Groupe CSA est à la recherche d'un gestionnaire de projet, Normes d'efficacité énergétique, au sein de l'équipe Efficacité énergétique et énergie renouvelable. Dans ce rôle dynamique, vous faciliterez l'élaboration de normes novatrices par le biais de discussions techniques et favoriserez le consensus entre les principaux intervenants. Vous collaborerez avec des experts de l'industrie, des fabricants, des universitaires, des chercheurs, des scientifiques et des représentants du gouvernement pour faire avancer notre mission.

Les normes du Groupe CSA sont élaborées par des membres bénévoles dans le cadre d'un processus accrédité. Les normes sont utilisées par un large éventail de parties prenantes afin d'améliorer la sûreté, la sécurité et la durabilité pour les personnes et les entreprises.

L'équipe des normes sur l'efficacité énergétique et les énergies renouvelables de la CSA gère un portefeuille diversifié de normes et de lignes directrices qui appuient la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et contribuent à un système énergétique durable, fiable et résilient.

Responsabilités:

Élaboration de normes : Faciliter l'élaboration de solutions fondées sur des normes dans le cadre du programme d'efficacité énergétique, notamment en ce qui concerne le chauffage, la ventilation, la climatisation et la réfrigération, les équipements industriels et résidentiels, les produits d'éclairage et les performances des systèmes énergétiques des bâtiments.

Innover : Identifier, poursuivre et gérer de nouvelles initiatives de développement commercial afin d'étendre le portefeuille à de nouveaux domaines soutenant les technologies propres.

Gestion de projet : Superviser les processus, les calendriers, les ressources, les coûts, la qualité et les risques liés aux projets. Gérer les activités quotidiennes du comité, respecter les étapes du projet et les objectifs de revenus.

Engagement : Établir des relations clés avec les universités, les organismes de réglementation, l'industrie et d'autres parties prenantes. Organiser des réunions de comité en personne et virtuelles.

Collaboration : Assurer la liaison avec les clients, la direction, les équipes juridiques et financières afin d'élaborer des propositions, des contrats et des analyses financières pour de nouveaux projets.

Processus : Assurer le respect des processus et procédures du Groupe CSA mandatés par le Conseil canadien des normes (CCN) ou l'American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Qualifications:

Formation : Diplôme universitaire pertinent ou certificat de technologue (BSc, B.Eng, ou CET) dans une discipline du génie ou un domaine d'études connexe. Discipline électrique ou mécanique de préférence.

Expérience : Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience pertinente. Une expérience dans les secteurs de l'industrie, de la fabrication, des services publics ou dans des environnements politiques/réglementaires est souhaitable.

Communication : Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite, y compris en matière de présentation et de rédaction de documents techniques.

Leadership : Solides compétences en matière de leadership, de négociation et de prise de décision.

Gestion de projet : Compétences exceptionnelles en matière d'organisation et de planification, avec une approche axée sur les détails.

Connaissances techniques : maîtrise du traitement de texte, des logiciels de présentation, des outils de planification de projet et des feuilles de calcul.
